·       I am the VP of HR at a Manufacturing company located in North Carolina. As per CEO request I need to develop a corporate policy to deal with selecting and assigning managers from the U.S. to a new manufacturing facility in Ireland that will be operational in 2019.

·       The managers will be assigned to the Ireland facility for a period of 24 months and return to the U.S. after that period.

Name of Corporate Policy : Selection and Assignment of Managers for Ireland Manufacturing Facility/ plant

Purpose: To provide the managers at the Ireland Manufacturing Facility/ plant as per the plant need(s).

Scope: Manager Selection from US plant, and assignment and relocation at Ireland plant, for a period of 24 months or 2 years.   

Policy: Ireland manufacturing facility is our sister company of our US plant and we want to provide the required managers from US plant to Ireland plant, so that we can provide the foreign working exposure to our employees to improve their skill set and experience which help them in their career development.

We will be running this work as per three categories

·       Selection Procedure : The manager will be selected for the Ireland facility as per below selection criteria as below

o   Managers need to complete the minimum 3 years of service at the US plant.

o   Managers need to meet the educational and working experience criteria for the applying post.

o   Managers who can stay at Ireland for a period of minimum 24 months.

o   Managers who can relocate to the Ireland plant within 2 months of time period post selection confirmation.

o   Manager may be required to face the written tests

o   Managers will be passing through interview process and interview panel decision will be final.

·       Assignment procedure :

o   The manager will be assigned to the Ireland manager post based on their preference and the performance in the interview process.

o   The Hiring manager will have the final round of interview with the selected candidate and based on interview result the manager will be assigned to their respective department.

·       Relocation Procedure:

o   The organization will facilitate in relocating the employees and will provide the financial support max upto $10000 for transportation cost for the luggages.

o   Employees can select their process of relocation within the time period of 3 months post the selection conformation.

o   Employees will be facilitate for home search by the company HR team at Ireland.

·       Ireland Work Conditions:

o   Selection and assignment of managers from the U.S. to a new manufacturing facility in Ireland that will be operational in 2019.
